Gstaad spoils gourmands and families with a unique variety of offers. In Winter, over 200 km of ski slopes at altitudes of up to 3000 meters above sea level await for skiers and snowboard riders, between Zweisimmen and the only glacier in the Bernese Oberland. KLOSTERS

Charming village

From Davos to Kloster, sports unlimited.

Klosters is a picture book holiday resort: an elegant chalet-style village, authentic traditions and an international flair with many cosmopolitan customs. Maybe that is why even royal guests feel so at home here. Here you will find a unique combination of a renowned mountain resort and the wonderland of an unspoilt Graubünden village.

Klosters was known as a Winter and Summer holiday destination more than 100 years ago. It experienced a decisive impetus in its development as a stylish holiday classic for connoisseurs in the 1950s. At that time, many famous names from the American and British film, music and theatre scene discovered the ski resort, which resulted in the name „Hollywood on the Rocks“. During this time, many British and American guests moved to Klosters, and made their second home here. They characterized the style and atmosphere of the holiday village for decades, and their children are still doing so to this day.

The diverse range of activities on offer in Summer and Winter is well suited to families with children. Situated in what has remained the rural part of the Prättigau (Graubünden), with its romantic village-like atmosphere Klosters stands in stark contrast to the nearby Alpine metropolis of Davos. Thanks to the Vereina tunnel, even the Engadine has now become a direct neighbouring region. Klosters belongs to the family resorts bearing the „Families Destination“ quality mark.

St. MORITZ

The birthplace of alpine winter tourism

There’s more to St. Moritz than just being a holiday resort.

There’s more to St. Moritz than just being a holiday resort. It was indeed the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism (in 1864) and the Winter Olympics have been twice celebrated here. Situated  at 1856 meters in the Upper Engadine, St. Moritz boasts plenty of sunny days all year round. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy over 350 km of pistes with a state-of-the-art infrastructure in the surrounding area.
In Summer, guests can enjoy a wide range of activities, such as hiking and mountain biking, but also plenty of others, like sailing, rowing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, tennis, minigolf or horse riding. Mountaineers have also plenty of options in Upper Engadine , with 17 climbing gardens of various difficulty levels.

VERBIER

Pure energy

Choose your adventure according to your desires.

As soon as the first snow falls, Verbier becomes a winter sports paradise.  A cableway opens up the top of Mont Fort at a height of 3330 meters. From here there is a fantastic view to the Matterhorn, Grand Combin and Mont Blanc.

In the summer, Verbier offers over 500 km of hiking trails, a golf course and many possibilities for outdoors activities, as well as a notorious music festival to delight locals and visitors.

ZERMATT

...is not enough

Spoil yourself.

Zermatt, this is the most popular mountain village with the world’s most photographed mountain. Here is where alpinists, ski fans, bon vivants and nature lovers meet. Guests conveniently reach the centre of the alpine village by train. Since Zermatt has always been car-free, walking is the transport of choice, both during summer and winter. You can also take a horse carriage or one of the small electric taxis that take the guests’ luggage through the narrow streets to the hotels and holiday apartments.

In Winter, 360 kilometres of ski runs await for sports enthusiasts from early in the morning until late afternoon, both on the Swiss as well as on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, where the mountain is called Monte Cervino. The summer skiing area on the Theodul Glacier boasts 21 kilometres of runs with guaranteed snow. In other words: Zermatt offers 365 days of skiing per year. But winter hikers and snow shoe enthusiasts can also enjoy the snowy, glistening landscape.

For those who prefer the warm atmosphere of Summer, it is possible to walk on more than 400 km marked hiking and walking trails.

Furthermore, Zermatt is also known for being a pioneer for sustainability. Many enterprises (hotels, restaurants, cable ways e.g.) care since decades for a responsible handling of the resources like water, electricity, but also for the traffic and the technology of buildings.
